Book Review: Black House by Stephen King and Peter Straub

It still amazes me when writers work together and come up with a seamless story that flows so well, with no indication that two minds created it rather than one. But King and Straub did it again with this one!

It starts off as a small town serial killer murder mystery, with the classic King feel, then the supernatural and otherworldly aspects start to creep in. Dark Tower fans and those who have read The Talisman will spot the references early and know where it's going, but if you haven't read those you'll still be able to follow it, though you'll be left with a few unanswered questions that will likely make you want to read the others!

Reading this after finishing both The Talisman and The Dark Tower, and being a huge fan of King's magnum opus, it was a delightfully nostalgic read for me and wonderful to revisit Midworld again (albeit on the edges).

Ka is a wheel, friends, and I'm sure we'll visit those lands again ... and again ...
