Variable Data Printing Labels: Enabling Customization at Scale

Variable data printing (VDP) labels are advanced, digitally printed labels where text, graphics, barcodes, or even images change from one label to the next within a single print run. This is a core capability of digital printing presses (like toner-based or inkjet systems), which use digital files to directly image each label without the need for fixed printing plates. This contrasts with traditional flexography, where every label in a run is identical.
